According to George, the director verbally harassed him and then initiated a physical altercation, which continued until one of George’s friends intervened.
George stated, “Eventually, he apologized, but I decided to walk away. At that point, the Warner Bros. team was in a panic. David remained sulky for the remainder of the filming, and although we completed the movie, it was undeniably the worst experience of my life.”
These incidents reportedly occurred following several other instances where George defended crew members, including a camera-car driver from his high school days and a script supervisor who had been brought to tears, from David’s angry outbursts.
