Title: Khyber Medical University Conducts Second Centralised Admission Test for Undergraduate Disciplines
Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar recently organized the second Centralised Admission Test (KMU-CAT) for admissions to undergraduate disciplines such as Pharm D, DPT, BS Nursing, and BS Allied Health Sciences. The test was held at nine centers across the province.
A total of 11,676 candidates took part in the test, as per a press release. The results will be announced within two to three days and can be checked on the official website of KMU. This test was conducted for those candidates who were unable to appear in the first test due to various reasons.
The recent test witnessed the participation of 5,138 students at two centers in Peshawar, with 683 in KMU-IHS Abbottabad, 2,387 in Iqra University Swat, 1,905 in Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, 693 in KMU-IMS Kohat, 46 in Parachinar Kurram, 418 in Hayat Nursing College Dir Lower, and 406 in Durrani Model School Bannu.
According to a statement, the participation of 11,676 candidates in the second test not only reflects their confidence in KMU but is also expected to enhance the merit and quality of allied health sciences. The statement emphasized the crucial role of doctors and various departments like pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, and allied health sciences in the comprehensive healthcare system.
The second centralised test for admissions to allied health sciences is expected to provide an opportunity for talented students to excel in these fields while improving the overall quality of the healthcare system in the province.
