Trendyol couldn’t get a victory in the first 5 matches of the Super League and is currently at the bottom with only 1 point. Yılport Samsunspor has parted ways with the head coach Hüseyin Eroğlu. The team in red and white showed success in promoting to the Super League last season under the management of the experienced coach. However, they could only manage to get 1 draw and suffered defeat in 4 out of the 5 matches they played this season.
SAMSUNSPOR’S STATEMENT:
Thank you, Hüseyin Eroğlu!
After the discussions held today with our Technical Director Hüseyin Eroğlu, who is one of the architects of our championship that ended our 11-year absence from the Super Lig, it has been mutually agreed to part ways within the framework of goodwill and professionalism.
We would like to thank the valuable Hüseyin Eroğlu for his contributions to Samsunspor and the happiness he brought us, and we wish him success in his future career.
EROĞLU’S FAREWELL TO SAMSUNSPOR
Hüseyin Eroğlu, who announced his departure in writing, said, “In a person’s life, there are days that they will never forget; getting married, the birth of their children, their child’s first words. As football coaches, unfortunately, we cannot experience most of these. When your child says ‘Dad’, you sacrifice your life for a 90-minute excitement, without any hesitation. There is no doubt between being a ‘Dad’ and being a ‘head coach’, you just go straight to the field. Have you ever thought why we make this decision? Is it for money? Not at all. Because duty and responsibility, meeting the expectations of thousands of people, and reviving the hopes of a city, are such sharp emotions that you cannot overcome them. They take you away. I signed a contract with Samsunspor in September 2022 and became a part of the championship team after an 11-year absence. This championship will continue to live forever in the most beautiful place in my heart, rest assured. Last year, I said, ‘What matters is not the name on the back of the jersey, but the emblem on the chest.’ Today, by saying ‘What matters is not the name on the sidelines, but the emblem’, I bid farewell to Samsunspor. I would like to thank our President Yüksel Yıldırım, our board and executive committee, our fans, our media, our club staff, my team, and the players who supported me during my service to Samsunspor.”
