The University of Minnesota men’s golf team will be participating in the Alister Mackenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif. The tournament, hosted by the University of California-Berkeley, will take place at the Meadow Club on Monday and Tuesday. Live scoring for the event can be found on golfstat.com. The Maroon and Gold lineup will consist of graduate seniors Jacob Pedersen and Brock Winter, senior Ben Warian, and juniors Gavin Hagstrom and Bennett Swavely. The Gophers will be competing against Cal-Berkeley, UC Davis, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, Harvard, Fresno State, Saint Mary’s, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, and New Mexico. In their previous outing at the Blessings Invitational, the Maroon and Gold finished in sixth place with a team score of 15-over par. Winter and Warian had strong performances, finishing tied for fourth and sixth place respectively.
