Turkish Football Federation announced that Vincenzo Montella has been appointed as the new coach, replacing Stefan Kuntz. An official signing ceremony was held for the Italian coach. TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi and National Team Manager Hamit Altıntop also made statements during the ceremony.
New head coach Vincenzo Montella expressed that they will bring a new spirit to the national team and that is why they have taken on this role. TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi mentioned that the main goal of the national team is to qualify for the European Championship to be held in Germany. Büyükekşi said, “We have signed a 3-year contract with Montella. Welcome to our team.”
