Online higher ed veteran Rebecca Zolotor appointed to leadership role
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Rebecca Zolotor has been elevated to the position of dean and vice president of Purdue Global’s School of Health Sciences, effective Oct. 1.
Zolotor, who previously served as associate dean for over a decade, will now report to Provost Jon Harbor in her new role as interim dean.
Purdue Global is Purdue’s online university catering to working adults.

Zolotor has had a successful career in higher education, holding faculty and department chair positions. With a background as a pharmacist, she has also held key management positions in the pharmaceutical industry and has experience in lab research, coordination of research trials, and pharmacy practice in hospitals, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
Zolotor specializes in new program development, integration of health industry trends and standards, as well as interdepartmental operations and project coordination.
She serves as a textbook and multimedia reviewer for several major publishing companies and acts as a peer reviewer for medical journals. Additionally, Zolotor is a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.
Zolotor earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University and her Master of Science in nutritional science from the University of Connecticut. She also holds certificates in Lean Green Belt, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Teaching Business English. In addition, she has a courtesy appointment in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University.
Purdue Global’s School of Health Sciences offers 16 degree programs and serves over 6,000 students with the help of 251 full-time and adjunct faculty members.
