Acted
For the past 30 years, the international NGO Acted has been dedicated to saving lives. Acted currently provides support to 20 million people in 43 countries, particularly in hard-to-reach areas. The organization operates as a humanitarian, environmental, and development aid actor, with a focus on building a “3ZERO” world: Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty. Acted collaborates with local and international partners, utilizing its extensive knowledge of local territories and contexts to implement relevant long-term actions.
Acted Syria
Since 2012, Acted has been actively involved in projects to assist vulnerable communities in Syria. The organization offers life-saving support to displaced persons, returnees, and host communities through rapid emergency services. Additionally, Acted implements various resilience-building interventions. Through its work, Acted has developed strong connections with local communities and gained a deep understanding of the local dynamics. The organization currently operates in Syria with a team of over 900 individuals.
You will be in charge of
Reporting to the Country Finance Manager, the Finance Volunteer (FV) will be responsible for supporting the Country Finance Team in maintaining financial internal control. This includes reviewing and cross-checking accounting data and financial management and control tools.
Main duties:
Contribute to Acted Compliance and Accountability
Control of Monthly Internal Reporting tools
- Reviewing accounting data;
- Reviewing finance follow-up;
- Cost control;
- HR follow-up.
Provide support to the daily tasks
Expected skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Audit, Business Management, Economics, or equivalent;
- Strong finance and accounting skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge of database management formulas);
- Ability to take on responsibilities and manage stress efficiently;
- Excellent communication skills, including advanced written and oral English;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Conditions
Status: volunteer
- Monthly living allowance of 300 USD;
- Coverage of accommodation, guesthouse, food, and travel expenses, with a luggage allowance of 50 kg;
- Provision of medical, repatriation, and life insurance;
- One-week pre-departure training at Acted HQ, including a 4-day in situ security training;
- Psychological assistance.
