BLOOMINGTON – The University of Minnesota soccer team played to a 0-0 tie against No. 16 Indiana on Sunday afternoon at Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
With this draw, Minnesota’s overall record is now 4-4-4 and their Big Ten record is 0-3-2. The Golden Gophers become the second team this season to prevent the top-ranked Hoosiers from scoring.
How it Happened
In the tie, Minnesota took seven shots, three of which were on goal. They faced 11 shots from Indiana, with only one shot on goal. Megan Plaschko led Minnesota with one save.

- The Gophers are the second team this season to prevent Indiana from scoring and the third team to earn at least one point against them.
“We are proud of the group for the defensive effort on the road today, especially missing two key players who have contributed significantly throughout the year,” said head coach Erin Chastain. “We had several players step up today and we will use this week to prepare for the upcoming match against Illinois.”
