This is Laitinen’s first time receiving a WCHA weekly award. She had an outstanding performance in the series against the Buckeyes on October 27-28. The native of Lohja, Finland, achieved her first multi-goal game of her career on October 28, scoring two goals and adding one assist. In total, she accumulated four points in the series, which is the highest she has ever recorded in a single series.
Minnesota (5-2-0) is set to host Minnesota State (2-6-0) on November 3 before traveling to Mankato for the series finale on November 4. The game on Friday will start at 6:00 p.m. CT and will be streamed on B1G+, while Saturday’s game will be broadcasted on FOX 9+ with puck drop scheduled for 4:00 p.m. CT.
