Overall, Nebraska leads the series 9-7-8, with the first meeting dating back to 1996.
Setting Up for Success
On Sunday, Minnesota came back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat the Fighting Illini, 3-1. Izzy Brown and Sophia Romine each scored, with Megan Nemec assisting all three goals.
Nemec’s three assists are the most by any Gopher in a single game since April Bockin (4) vs. Michigan State on Sept. 24, 2017.
Brace for the Best
For the third time in her career at Minnesota, Sophia Romine scored a brace to secure Minnesota’s first Big Ten conference win.
Romine scored twice against North Dakota (Sept. 4) and Purdue (Oct. 20) last season.
Impactful Freshmen
Freshman Kate Childers is one of six Golden Gophers to start every game this season. Competing in the midfield, Childers has put up 1,084 minutes this season and has played eight full 90 minute games.
