The Gophers secured 10th place overall with a combined tournament score of 9-under par (282-274-287–887). Big Ten rival Purdue claimed the team title with a score of 34-under par (269-268-277–814).
Purdue’s Herman Senke claimed the top individual spot, finishing with a 54-hole score of 16-under par.
Notable:
Senior Ben Warian led the Gophers for a second consecutive tournament. Warian was one of three individuals to score an eagle on a par-4, achieving this in the final round on the 10th hole. The junior finished tied for 14th place with a score of 6-under par (69-67-71–207).
Graduate transfer Brock Winter collected the most pars throughout the 54-hole tournament with 42. Winter finished in a tie for 34th with a score of 2-under par (70-68-73–211).
Graduate Jacob Pedersen was one of two Gophers to achieve an eagle in their final round, scoring a three on the par-5 13th hole. Pedersen finished one stroke behind Winter, tying for 41st with a score of 1-under par (73-70-69–212).
Junior Bennett Swavely finished one shot behind Pedersen, tying for 45th place (70-69-74–213). Sophomore Mason Roloff finished with a 54-hole score of 11-over par, placing him in a tie for 81st.
Looking Ahead:
The Gophers will travel to Johnson, Ark., to compete in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The three-day tournament will commence on Monday, October 2nd, and conclude on Wednesday, October 4th at Blessings Golf Club.
