This year’s version takes place at the Gopher Wrestling Training Facility at the Bierman Field Athletic Building (516 15th Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455). Doors open at 6 p.m. with practice scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
A very limited number of metered parking spots are available in front of Bierman on a first-come, first-serve basis. The next best parking option likely would be the 4th Street Ramp.
Minnesota returns five starters, including 2023 All-American Michael Blockhus, for the 2023-24 season. Other returning national qualifiers include sixth-year seniors Jake Gliva, Garrett Joles and Patrick McKee, as well as seniors Isaiah Salazar and Andrew Sparks.
In addition, the team brings back six wrestlers that started at least one dual last season, and welcomes in a seven-person freshman class.
